Tickets go on sale through the Valero Alamo Bowl website or www.ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster outlets in late summer after the renewal process for last year's buyers is completed.

Why should I join the Season Ticket Option Holder plan?

Because the bowl has been selling option seats since July 1992, each year the availability of lower level locations decreases. To acquire the best seat possible and have the best opportunity to purchase a ticket, football fans should purchase tickets in advance of the team announcement through the bowls Season Ticket Option Holder plan.

Can I order tickets on the Internet?

Option holder tickets can be purchased on the Valero Alamo Bowl Web site each year until the teams are announced (or if an announcement is pending). The tickets sold on the bowl website prior to team announcement are season "option" tickets which means the buyer has the option to renew the same seats (and upgrade when better seats are available) every year.

Can I renew my option seats online?

Yes, online renewals will be available each year. Your seat locations will remain the same and you will be renewed. If you have any questions about your renewal, please call (210) 226-2695.

The lower level (the 100 level) has 35 rows. When you enter through the plaza level, you enter on row 19. The club level hangs over rows 28-35 on the lower level. The upper level (the 300 level) has 28 rows.

What are the chances of upgrading my option tickets?

Bowl option holders are sent a renewal mailing which includes a request for upgrade each April. On average, the bowl ticket office is able to move 400-500 tickets to better locations. First and second year option holders who are sitting outside the 20 yard lines have the greatest chance of receiving an upgrade. Ticket holders inside the 20 yard lines on the club and lower levels will have difficulty upgrading (especially those with more than two seats) since existing ticket holders in these prime locations rarely give up their seats. However, every request is put in a file to review after the renewal deadline. Then, all the requests will try to be accommodated.

Can I order a commemorative ticket?

All ticket orders through the bowl office before September 1 will receive a commemorative, souvenir-style ticket. Based on the heavy demand for this year's game, the bowl will not have any commemorative tickets available for souvenirs after the game.
